Isle of Wight Glass Museum – Display Cases

Anton Doroszenko, the Museum Director was looking for a number of glass cabinets of various sizes to store and display over 1000 pieces of Isle of Wight contemporary glass dating back to the 1950s and 1960s.

Anton found the Access Displays website through a Google search, from which he sent an enquiry to us. Anton was in the process of preparing his newly acquired building, a barn nonetheless, ready for some new glass cabinets to be installed so that he could start filling them with his contemporary glass.

A quotation was provided for 29 freestanding glass cabinets and 2 glass counters, all finished in high gloss white, which were amended slightly to be within Anton’s budget. Anton signed off the quotation and production began.

Anton kept Access Displays up to speed on the building work whilst his cabinets were being prepared and scheduled for delivery. Through regular and open communications, the timing of the building and decorating work coming to an end and the cabinets being ready for delivery was spot on.

Anton has his own blog for the Isle of Wight Museum, and throughout the process uploaded pictures of his progress in getting the museum setup.

“I would just like to say that the cabinets installed by Access Displays in the glass museum have gone down really well with our visitors. There are many pictures of the museum on our web site, but you may like to start here:
