Space only exhibition sites are generally cheaper than shell schemes since the costs cover only the designated space marked on the exhibition hall floor with either chalk or tape. Every thing else must be supplied including the carpet and platform. A space only stand can be open two sides, three sides or be an island site open on all four sides. Generally with space only sites a build height up to 4m is permitted. (Check with the exhibition organisers for specific show and venue restrictions). This information should be detailed in the exhibition manual but for assistance then please email sales@accessdisplays.co.uk Some exhibition venues do allow stands to go higher up to 6m or even 8m subject to local planning authority and health and safety rules. Stands of this height (especially double decker stands) would require structural calculations to be carried out. Example – double decker stand shown below. Stands open on two or three sides These exhibition stands have a back wall and a right and/or left side wall. In most cases this means that the site backs on to two other stands and there could be restrictions on how high the walls can be. If the walls are higher than on the adjacent stand, then the exhibitor would be responsible for covering the back of the wall and restrictions on branding that side would apply. It is important to make sure that this detail is given to the designer so that the orientation of the stand is correct. (These issues are covered as a matter of course, when using the free stand design service from Access Displays.) Example – site open on 2 sides shown below Example – site open on 3 sides shown below Island sites (Open on all four sides) Probably the best option as visitors can come onto the stand from any direction. Visiting traffic should be able to flow around the stand with easy access and good product layout. Example – island site (open on 4 sides) shown below
