Scanning
The essence of many strong graphics is the quality of the photographs or photo montage that have been created, but they are only as good as both the original images and the scanner that has reproduced them.
Using the latest Scitex technology we can scan A3 plus originals in either transparent or reflective form up to a true optical resolution of 2540dpi and much higher with interpolation.
However a scan of too high resolution can make it impractical to work with, so we have a few simple rules that allow the software that we use to make the most of your images:-
Work out the enlargement ratio from the original in your hand to the final finished print size. i.e. is it going to be four times bigger or twenty four times bigger?
Take that ratio and multiply it by 75
The result is the minimum dpi that you need to scan at to provide the quality image you are hoping for
