General Answers:
| Q. | Is Access Displays a manufacturer of modular display systems?
| | A. | Access Displays is the largest independent supplier of modular systems in the UK; we do not manufacture modular equipment. We sell leading brands at the manufacturers prices. |
| Q. | I need a display that is waterproof for outdoor use.
| | A. | Access Displays have many solutions for exhibiting outdoors. For the last 10 years we have been supplying the Automobile Association with their canvassing units. These are both waterproof and robust. Click on Canvassing units or contact our sales department for more details. |
| Q. | I need a budget price for building a custom stand.
| | A. | It is impossible to give an accurate budget for a custom stand, as there are too many variables. As a very rough guide if it is based in the UK then you can multiply your stand size by between £250 and £450 per square metre but this is totally dependent on your requirements and the show venue. Some stands we have built have budgeted £1000 per square metre. For accurate prices please complete our Stand Brief Form. |
| Q. | Is it cheaper to hire the furniture from Access or the organisers?
| | A. | There is no difference in price. In the main we use either Indisplay or Melville. We will be happy to order any furniture on your behalf. |
| Q. | How many times do I need to hire a stand before it's worth buying?
| | A. | Access Displays have based their hire prices on less than one 1/3rd the purchase price, so you will need to do more than three shows to make it worth while purchasing. The other thing to bear in mind is that all our hire equipment is in A1 condition, you don't have a storage charge and we have a choice of finishes. |

| Q. | I need something at short notice can you help?
| | A. | The most commonly used word in this industry is " Nightmare". Things are always left until the last minute for one reason or another. Access Displays have been in business for 12 years and The Design Shop for nearly 20. Although we don't encourage it we have always had last minute requests and I suppose we always will. Most modular displays are either in stock or on a short lead time. If we can't purchase it for you we can always offer you hire and depending on the size of the order will be credited once your purchased equipment arrives. |

Folding Kit Answers:
| Q. | Do the kits come in any colours other than blue and grey?
| | A. | Kits come in a choice of 18 different colours options but delivery times will vary. Blue/grey kits are always in stock for immediate delivery. |
| Q. | Can I have a different colour on each side?
| | A. | Yes you can have a different colour on each side at no extra cost. |
| Q. | How are the panels joined together?
| | A. | All panels are hinged together to allow the user to create shape and stability. Three panels can be folded to create a triangle or one panel can be folded back on it's self to create a smaller two panel display. |
| Q. | How can I attach graphics and can I use drawing pins?
| | A. | All panels are covered in looped nylon, which is Velcro friendly. We do not recommend the use of drawing pins, blue tack or anything other than Velcro to attach graphics. |
| Q. | Do you sell Velcro?
| | A. | We sell Velcro in various lengths cut or continuous. We can supply it in different widths and colours if you require. As we are a major supplier we are much more competitive than most other companies. |
| Q. | Can I leave my graphics attached to my display?
| | A. | Because on one side of the panel we have a recess you can leave your graphics attached to the display provided that the graphic is no thicker than 5mm. |
Creating a display stand - Answers: |
| Q. | What glue should I use?
| | A. | We recommend PVA (water based) glue which can be purchased from all good DIY stores. |
| Q. | Where can I buy the parts I will need?
| | A. | To buy loop nylon fabric online, click here. To buy hook Velcro, click here. To order Superflex online, click here. |
| Q. | When cutting the fabric, how much bleed should I leave?
| | A. | You should leave 50mm bleed on all sides. |
| Q. | How long should I leave the glue to dry for?
| | A. | Normally you should allow 24hrs for the glue to dry per side. |
| Q. | My panel has bowed, is this normal?
| | A. | Yes – this depends on the substrate used. However, to fix this simply attach fabric to the other side of the panel to act as a balance. If the panels are still bowed, you may need to add a frame to strengthen the board. |
| Q. | Can I use pins or tacks to attach things to the board?
| | A. | We recommend that you use Velcro as pins and tacks will gradually deteriorate the board. To order velcro online, click here. |
